It’s been a decade of excellence!
A charitable non-profit corporation, Lakeshore Music, Inc. presents not only world-class jazz and other popular music but also provides innovative workshops, educational seminars and master-class opportunities for promising middle school and high school music students throughout the Phoenix metropolitan Valley.
Lakeshore has grown into one of the most respected concert series in the United States. It reached a monumental milestone in April, 2018, when it presented its 100th concert at TCA. To get there, Lakeshore persevered through a tumultuous decade, morphing from three small jazz series that began in the back room of Monti’s La Casa Vieja steakhouse in downtown Tempe, surviving a recession, facing increasing competition as new venues sprouted when the economy recovered and taking the giant step of moving the fledgling series into the sparkling new Tempe Center for the Arts, a move that has paid off handsomely.
This 2018 - 2019 season marks Lakeshore’s 10th. It’s a special milestone for us, and we hope you enjoy the special lineup that we’ve assembled for you!

John Proulx Quartet

The jazz scene is abuzz about young Los Angeles singer-pianist-Grammy-winning composer John Proulx (pronounced "Proo"). Fasten your seat belts and get ready for a rollicking season finale. The Bonedaddys take a wide stance stylistically, claiming influences from Charles Ives to Burl Ives and much in-between, the common musical denominator being a fun, danceable party ambience.
